A WHOLE NEW WORLD – Venus X brings Ghetto Gothik to SF

We have been praying this Goddess come to the bay for a year now and she finally did! Words couldn’t describe how happy we were when news spread. This is more than club kid fan-girling. Anyone who follows Venus knows that she is a diamond in the rough when it comes to being #HIMS (highly intellectual, mad swag). A well-respected DJ in a white and male-dominated game, Venus mixes genre, gender, and scenes in her more than jus her dj sets. Who else could be part of the crew that mobs with A$AP Rocky and Boy Child on the same runway?

We look up to Venus and have a lot to learn from her in terms of pursuing your dreams as a woman of color, and making sure that your values aren’t sacrificed in the process. Turning up a crowd obviously comes second nature to her, and its so inspiring that she uses her skills to create a border-breaking genre-mixing future.
