The vibe was right. I honestly should’ve taken photos of the AUDIENCE because everyone dressed the best of themselves, perfectly accessorized with smiles to match. Alone, I really got to experience how friendly and excited everyone was whether it came to dancing, or passing.

-Raphael Saadiq surprise cameo during Love of My Life

-the fact that Durand Bernarr met Erykah through youtube and is now SERVING backup vocals

-Erykah jumping into the audience and instagramming herself on other peoples’ iPhones

The perfect mix of party and politics will set the tone for 2013!
