THE 2014 SF INTERNATIONAL FILM FEST IS LIVE!
We’re very excited to share this year’s 57th Annual San Francisco International Film Festival line-up April 24th-May 8th. We have lots we’re excited about.
Excited about: White Shadow– a film about albinism in Tanzania, the Yves Saint Laurent biopic is making it’s US premiere, giddy about The Seventh Walk as an artistic lens on Northern India’s Kangra Valley, and we know y’all in the bay have been itching to catch Dear White People; so yes, it’s finally here.
The World Cinema Spotlight this year is on Latin America, surveying a lot of the globe’s contemporary artistic hotspots. The festival also has a bunch of events we’re eyeing- like the Opening Night with Hossein Amini’s The Two Faces of January and party at Public Works, Stephen Merritt (Magnetic Fields) performing a live soundtrack to the classic horror film The Unknown, and politically minded comedy routines to set the stage for Stand Up Planet.
If you’re in the bay area, check out the guide for the full line-up, tickets on sale to the public Friday April 4th! If you can’t make it, follow our coverage, interviews and reviews!
