Our latest Konversation exhibit “PTC” features long time drummer Luis Gutiérrez in collaboration with the beautiful vocals of Alexa Burrell gracing us with some original sounds.

We met Luis on set for a Religious Girls x Main Attrakionz video shoot. On top of being our hair idol (its so long), he consistently puts out music be it through Religious Girls, Coldtergeist, Our Brother the Native, or one of his multiple solo projects.

“Public Transportation Celebrity” is about all the people that are present in your life via the bus, train, or plane.

When I was in Long Beach, there was a dude who basically set up one of the bus stops as his home, but this guy wasn’t homeless- he had a nice pension and lived in a house a couple of miles away. He would just hang out at this stop in West Long Beach on Easy St. He’d sweep it spotless and ride the busses sometimes, but always picking someone to give a hard time. To me these guys are the definition of PTC, but there are also people who are very personable and charming. Regardless, these stories are passed on from person to person riding the bus and experiencing the same phenomena or something similar. They make their imprints.

What started as a “fun internet project” has now turned into a solid duo between Alexa and Luis. Catch them by the name of f00ts and look out for their album, UnenTitled, which will be out this Fall.
