YODIT EKLUND – AFRICAN SURF WEAR

Summer is coming around, bikinis are the new tops, surf rap somehow exists, and wavy is the new gravy. Yodit Eklund has been riding this wave for a while with her African brand BANTU WAX.

Mission: To introduce the world to African beach culture by creating a hot line of beach and resort wear, accessories, and skincare products using indigenous prints, labor, and materials. All 100% made in Africa.

As a fellow UC Berkeley Development Studies’ graudate, I’ve been looking up to Yodit for years now. The website explains Bantu as a gateway to viewing a new side of Africa beyond “Heart of Darkness” speak. Hope y’all appreciate this special #Browntourage feature.
